Qt how to build static

Okay so I have been looking into this for several days now and have found nothing really useful on how to build Qt static, so that I can compile static programs with no dependencies (the dll files compiled inside the exe rather than separate). I have searched other forums and can find nothing, it seems way harder then it should be, but I digress. Does anyone know how I can build QT statically? I have Qt 5.4 with msvc2013_64 and I'm on windows.

Do I have to have minGW to build Qt statically? I reckon I should be able to do it with msvc2013_64 but I have no idea how. :-(

I watched a tutorial where it showed to open "QT Command Prompt" and then type the command /configure , however, all I have is "QT 5.4 64-bit for Desktop" and when I open it, it says "Remember to call vcvarsall.bat to complete environment set up!" And when I call vcvarsall.bat it doesn't work, and I am still unable to type /configure and set it up to build static programs.

I don't necessarily need to open Qt Command Prompt, just some way of entering the /configure command.

If you can't tell, I'm not good with this stuff, so simple answers are greatly appreciated! At any rate, any comment or answer will help in some way or another and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this and comment. Thanks!
